Herefordshire Council have informed us that the Neighbourhood Planning Referendum will take place in our area on the above date alongside the Police Crime Commissioner Election. Polling cards have now been sent out.
All information relating to the referendum can be found on the Hereford Council website here.
The question which will be asked in the referendum is:
Do you want Herefordshire Council to use the neighbourhood plan for Allensmore to help it decide planning applications in the neighbourhood area?
Allensmore Parish Council urges you to vote.
The Neighbourhood Development Plan was developed by Allensmore Parish Council with help from a group of volunteer residents and extensive consultation with the local community.
If there is a simple majority of “yes” votes in the referendum, Herefordshire Council will use our plan to help it decide planning applications in Allensmore. If there is a majority of “no” votes, Herefordshire Council will not take into account the views of Allensmore residents.
The final version of the Allensmore Neighbourhood Development Plan can be downloaded here:
The full story of how the plan was developed is here.
