Allensmore Parish Council
The Parish Council
Parish councils are statutory bodies established under the Local Government act 1972. For Allensmore there are 7 councillors who were elected in May 2011 and will serve until the next election in 2015. They are supported by a clerk who takes care of the administration for the council. See the councillors for more details.

The councillors represent the residents and electors in the parish and they do this by being available to everyone in the parish to discuss and help on issues of concern.

Matters relevant to the parish are discussed and decisions made at regular Parish Council meetings (typically bi-monthly) at which the public are welcome to attend. The schedule for meetings is available here and agendas are published ahead of each meeting.

Members of the public may speak by invitation at these meetings, and anyone wishing to do so should contact the clerk prior to the meeting.

All decisions taken at these meetings are recorded and published after being approved at the subsequent meeting and are available here.
